Take a Kid MTB'ing / Family Day — the full rundown
Sunday, September 27, 9AM–12PM — built for families with kids ages 4 to 16, and free to attend (donations support Overland Mountain Bike Association). Registering ahead on Humanitix is the quickest way in and helps us plan. Here's how the morning flows:
- 9AM — Grab a freshly baked cinnamon roll before you hit the trail, courtesy of Cinnamon's Bakery Loveland Yards.
- 9AM–11AM — Ride the trails with your family: each kid gets a 6-stop Punch Card Challenge to fill along the way. Complete the card to earn raffle entries — extra punches earn bonus entries. Keep an eye out for the blow-up unicorn.
- 11AM–12PM — "Games on Bikes" back at the main festival area, hosted by Dude Dad (Taylor Calmus): the Slow Ride, the Gear 1 Fast Pedal Sprint, and Foot Down (last foot down wins). One winner per age group.
- For later — Every kid gets a voucher for a kids ice cream sponsored by Walrus Ice Cream in Old Town.
- 12PM — Raffle prizes drawn, including a $500 Recycled Cycles gift card to pick out a new bike in the winner's size, Scheels gift cards, and a Fort Collins Museum of Discovery membership (up to $135 in value), alongside the Slow Ride, Fast Pedal, and Foot Down champions by age group.
- Thank you to our Take a Kid Mountain Biking Supporters: Recycled Cycles, Scheels, Walrus Ice Cream, Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, and Cinnamon's Bakery Loveland Yards!
